OpenStreetMap-derived coastline overlays ======================================== Coastline data source: OpenStreetMap contributors, via the OSMCoastline processed global line Shapefile at: https://osmdata.openstreetmap.de/data/coastlines.html https://osmdata.openstreetmap.de/download/coastlines-split-4326.zip OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0: https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/ https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright Attribution: © OpenStreetMap contributors coast_nh_osm.geojson and coast_sh_osm.geojson are locally simplified and cropped derived data, not a substitute for original OSM data. Preserve this license and attribution when distributing or publishing the overlays. The build process preserves the source attribution in GeoJSON metadata. IMPORTANT: The previous GSHHG coast_nh.geojson / coast_sh.geojson may still be present after installing the patch, but the new viewer does NOT read them. Only the files named *_osm.geojson are used for the coastline overlay. Feature-label names and anchor points are a separate manually curated editorial overlay; consult LABEL_SOURCES.md. They do not represent live measurements, and are not part of the OSM coastline dataset.
